Accommodation

The conference will take place at the Europa Hotel, situated in the middle of Belfast's “Golden Mile”, only a few steps away from the glorious Grand Opera House, the historic Crown Bar (the only public house owned by National Trust) and the city's best shopping, high-end entertainment and the business district.

***The conference hotel is now fully booked!***

Altenative accommodation within walking distance from the conference venue can be booked here. Hotels are listed in order of proximity to the Europa hotel, so make sure to scroll down to find the hotel that best suits your needs!

***Attention! Rooms at these special rates will only be bookable until Monday 21 May!***

Please remember:

  • Preferential rates at the Europa hotel will be available until 6 weeks prior to the conference (25 April), so make sure you book as soon as possible!
  • Until 21 May you'll still be able to book a room at a nearby hotel at a preferential rate, but rates at the conference hotel may increase.
  • After 21 May, bookings will be subject to hotels' availability and rates at the time of request and the EFC will not be able to assist you in securing lower rates.
  • Reservations must be made through the links on this page to benefit from these rates. Bookings made directly with the hotels, through third-party websites (i.e. booking.com) or travel agencies will result in different rates and different cancellation policies. The EFC Secretariat will not be able to help with any reservation issues if bookings are not made through the links above.
  • Once a booking is made, deposits and/or cancellation fees may be required. Please read the forms carefully before submitting them.

 Getting to Belfast

A friendly word of advice - try to avoid Heathrow! Connections through London's airport will set you back a minimum of 2 hours because of all the security measures in place at Heathrow's terminals.

Many alternative routes via other Uk airports are available, not to mention the possibility of flying to Dublin and taking a bus from the airport to Belfast Great Victoria Street Station, located just behind the Europa hotel (information on bus links between Dublin and Belfast)

 Visas

Depending on what country you're arriving from, you may require a visa to enter Northern Ireland (or even two, if you're travelling through the Republic of Ireland!). Make sure to check and to apply for your visa in advance (if needed) to avoid unpleasant surprises!
