EFFIO currently has 26 Members from 9 countries with endowments ranging from over €200mln to over €19bln in assets. Participation in EFFIO is open to financial and/or investment officers of independent foundations with endowment assets of over € 500 million , which have their own structure of investment policies, internal financial expertise and a diversified investment portfolio. EFFIO seeks to ensure good geographical balance in the group.

EFFIO Members are required to take part in at least one meeting per year and contribute actively in the information sharing and discussions. Membership implies also participation in the Group’s Annual Survey of investments. EFFIO Members commit to strict confidentiality with respect to the information shared at EFFIO meetings. At present, new participants are invited upon recommendation from an EFFIO member. The annual fee is € 1,500.
