About GEF

GEF promotes development of civil society in wider Europe by providing funders active in the region with a forum to discuss effectiveness of their grantmaking efforts, exchange experience, get inspired and encourage new donor activity in the region.

The forum is a 2-day conference which convenes on average 150 participants each year, representing grantmaking foundations, bilateral donors, international organisations and corporate funders.

GEF 2011 - Learn. Reflect. Connect

The latest edition of the Forum was held 4 - 6 October 2011, in Riga, Latvia.  The Steering Committee worked hard to match the success of the previous GEF's and over 130 participants attended. To view reports, see photos and watch speaker interviews please the GEF website
