The European Partnership for Global Health (EPGH) represents a group of foundations committed to advancing global health from a European perspective.
EPGH played a key role in informing and shaping the global dimension of the latest European Commission health strategy with the publication European Perspectives on Global Health: A Policy Glossary (2006); and in the conceptualisation of the recently created Global Health Europe, which seeks to advance policy, research and action for global health through advocacy based on evidence and analysis.
In 2009, EFC EPGH and Global Health Europe signed a memorandum of understanding, which sets out the terms of future cooperation between the two initiatives. Global Health Europe is hosted by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, in Geneva.
European Global Health Policy Glossary
The Glossary is an updated and expanded online edition of European Perspectives on Global Health: A Policy Glossary. It provides a guide to global health issues from a European perspective, providing introductory articles on each topic and links to the organisations and sources most closely involved in each field. The Glossary is a living document. All stakeholders are invited to contribute with comments and links.
