European Philanthropic Support  to Address HIV/AIDS in 2008, 17 November 2008

 

  

 

The European HIV/AIDS Funders Group has released  its annual report on resource flows for HIV/AIDS from European funders. The publication is entitled European Philanthropic Support to Address HIV/AIDS in 2008 and has gathered data on HIV/AIDS-related philanthropic expenditures in 2008 from 31 organisations. The report includes total expenditures and total commitments figures, as well as a breakdown of funds by geographical region, intended use, the top three main population groups to which funding was directed, and the forecast for funding increases or decreases in 2009. 


EFG’s continued partnership with Funders Concerned About AIDS (FCAA) and UNAIDS has resulted in a refined survey methodology and collaborative launch strategy, as well as new insight into the global landscape of HIV/AIDS philanthropy. Explore Appendix D for an enhanced contact list and profiles of select funding organisations located outside of Western and Central Europe and the United States.

European Philanthropic Support to Address HIV/AIDS in 2006, 13 August 2006

The EFC European HIV/AIDS Funders Group produced a publication on HIV/AIDS resource flows and trends in Europe. Entitled “European Philanthropy and HIV/AIDS”, the report analyses information gathered from 45 Europe-based foundations working in the field of HIV/AIDS. The report was launched at an event co-organised by the Group and Funders Concerned About AIDS (FCAA) at the International HIV/AIDS Conference, held August 13th - 18th 2006 in Toronto.
