As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, so don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to literally capture the very essence of your work!
We are pleased to inform you that we have decided to extend the deadline for submissions for the 2010 EFC Photo Competition. Please note that the new deadline is Wednesday 31 March.
The competition is an amazing opportunity for your organisation to raise its visibility by illustrating in an original and visually-pleasing way the very essence of your organisation’s work.
This year the Photo Competition will be directly linked to the theme of the Annual General Assembly (AGA) and Conference- consequently members are encouraged to send pictures that may relate to “Working in Partnership”.
This theme is to be understood in its broadest sense, as a celebration of the fruitful collaboration between foundations and other philanthropic actors, such as institutions, governmental and non-governmental organisations, etc. To work together towards a common goal means having a bigger impact on people’s lives than an organisation would have had working alone. Foundations contribute to improving social conditions, in myriad different ways, through the funding of concrete projects or through successful cross-border partnerships. Feel free to be creative in how you interpret this theme!
As EFC members, you are invited to submit two photos representing activities that your organisation either funds or operates. The Photo Competition Jury will select the finalists which will be displayed during the 2010 Foundation Week, to be held from May 31st to June 4th 2010 in Brussels, Belgium. All delegates to the AGA and Conference portion of the Week will then have the opportunity to vote for their favourite picture, and the winner will be announced at the closing plenary.
Please download the
entry form and send it together with your pictures by 31 March 2010 to photo@efc.be.
If you have any questions about the contest, please do not hesitate to contact the EFC Membership Department at photo@efc.be. We are excited about receiving your pictures, and judging by the impressive entries from the past three competitions, we look forward to seeing even more unique and high-quality examples of your valuable work.
Thank you in advance for supporting this initiative!
