The 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion offers a wide-range of opportunities for foundations active in the areas of poverty and social exclusion to advance their areas of work and interest and have a higher impact.
Find out more about the initiatives currently being prepared and in which you can contribute, namely:
1. Playing an active role in the Participatory Forum on poverty and social exclusion, 18-20 October 2010, Brussels. There are three ways to participate in the Forum:
- Taking part in the “Interactive Fair”
- Proposing an open session
- Providing input for one of the six thematic workshops on EU policies and programmes proposed and organised directly by European Commission’s Directorate-Generals.
2. Taking part and providing input for the Riga Solidarity Days, 28-29 October
3. Proving input for the monthly thematic issues related to the different dimensions of poverty and social exclusion
4. Raising awareness about the journalist competition and/ or submitting articles considered of interest.
