Didacta 2012: Siemens Stiftung expands portfolio for teachers
(26/01/2012 )

The theme of the Siemens Stiftung at this year’s didacta education trade fair is “STEM – understanding, experiencing, comprehending” with a focus on language instruction and the natural sciences.

At the event in Hanover from February 14 to 18, 2012, the foundation will present new teaching materials and methods in a digital format available on its online media portal. Available for the first time is KIKUS digital, the languagelearning software tailored to the needs of today’s primary school
language classes.

Another highlight is the Experimento project, featuring experiments that illustrate a wide array of energy, environment, and healthcare topics. New content packages for interactive whiteboards round out the media portal’s offering. Teachers have the opportunity to attend live sessions for tips on how to systematically integrate language instruction, scientific experiments, and
whiteboard projects.

The Siemens Stiftung believes that language is the key to academic success – with a focus on the STEM subjects from kindergarten to graduation. The foundation’s educational projects support teachers with language-learning programs, online teaching materials, innovative teaching methods that  enable students to discover scientific phenomena, and advanced teacher training opportunities.
