EFC is pleased to announce launch of new three-year work plan for Capacity Building
(11/02/2010 )

2009 was an important year for the benchmarking and capacity-building programme area of the EFC. The Centre engaged in a process of re-thinking and re-strategising in order to develop a comprehensive and coherent capacity-building component within its programme structure.

Based on the recommendations of the report “Building Talent and Excellence with Foundations”, commissioned in 2008, and on its own learning experiences, the EFC decided to embark on an innovative approach in the professional development of foundation staff at the European level, connecting the Centre’s four programmatic objectives.

We are now proud to present a robust three-year work plan, structured around deliverables and a capacity-building presence on the new EFC website.

The new capacity-building programme will be based on the following five components:

  • International Fellowship Programme for Learning and Exchange in Philanthropy (IFP)
  • Signposting
  • Learning events
  • Capacity-building products
  • Network-building
