The Belgian Presidency of the European Union and the European Commission, in cooperation with the King Baudouin Foundation and the European Foundation Centre are jointly organising a mutual learning workshop to discuss the current and future role of philanthropy in the European Research Area. It will take place in Brussels on 13 October.

The workshop is targeted at national policy makers. Representatives of foundations supporting research and experts in the field of philanthropy will also be invited to help stimulate mutual learning and debate.
