2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion - Under the High Patronage of the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union

Enel Cuore, the Enel supported Charity, launched in 2009 a project named "We grow up together", aimed at disadvantaged Romanian children left alone by parents migrated in Italy seeking for a job (so called "white orphans"). The project has been designed and implemented by "Save the Children Romania" ("Salvati Copiii"): its overall objective is the diminution of the negative impact on these children due to the migration of their parents.

The aim of this cocktail reception, to be held at the Radisson Blu EU Hotel in Brussels, next 30 November at 6.30 pm, is to introduce this successful project in Brussels since the beginning of the activities and the inauguration of the first 8 centres and to open a window of considerations and debate about the engagement of different actors at European Level in the sector of children protection.
