European Research Network on Philanthropy introduces new board members

The European Research Network on Philanthropy (ERNOP) established an executive board after their last meeting in Budapest.

The new board is now consisting of seven positions, for which six members have been nominated so far. 

  • Theo Schuyt, VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Chair: develop and execute strategic goals for ERNOP, initiate and coordinate efforts structural funding ERNOP
  • Pamala Wiepking, VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Secretary: manage relationships with and other philanthropy/non-profit networks in Europe
  • Michael Meyer, WU Wien, Vienna, Austria - Treasurer: control finances, initiate and coordinate efforts structural funding ERNOP 
  • Rene Bekkers, VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Research chair: inventory, initiate and coordinate collaborative research projects and multilateral research funding 
  • Edith Bruder, Cerphi, France - Conference and meeting Chair: Organise yearly ERNOP meeting, including research conference
  • Marta Rey Garcia, Universidade da Coruña, Spain - Communications Chair: external communication, develop strategies to communicate research produced by ERNOP members, collaborate and manage relations with external parties, among which philanthropic practitioners and foundations

ERNOP currently has a vacancy for the Advocacy Chair position, whose main task is to develop strategies to place ERNOP at the forefront of the European civil society landscape, and to perform lobby activities.
