The conference will build on the two previous events with foundations in 2008 and 2009. It will also build on Wilton Park’s previous development-related conferences and take advantage of the network which Wilton Park has at its disposal.

• To provide a forum for foundations to assess international development priorities in the light of current economic circumstances (fiscal tightening and greater reliance on private philanthropy)
• To share views on effectiveness, best practice, partnership and cooperation at the current  juncture
• To look at medium-term development perspectives generally and for foundations particularly (for the 2010-2015 period)
