Fundación Luis Vives has published the English version of its guide Keys Facts on Poverty and Social Exclusion in Spain.
This guide is mainly directed to the actors working in the field of social inclusion to help them to better understand the problems of poverty and social exclusion.
It is divided in four main sections:
- Clarifying concepts
- Why do people fall under poverty
- What are its consequences
- What can we do
This publications was part of the project Promoting Social Inclusion: raising awareness, mobilisation and debate, led in 2007 by Fundación Luis Vives with support from the European Commission and the Spanish Anti-Poverty and Social Exclusion Network (EAPN), with collaboration from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (now Ministry of Health and Social Policy) and a sponsorship from Obra Social Caixa Galicia.
The guide has been co-financed by the European Social Fund within the framework of the Operational Programme Fight against Discrimination (2007-2013).
