Artur Santos Silva has been named as the new President of Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. He will take office on 2 May 2012 when the current presidency of President Emílio Rui Vilar expires.
Artur Santos Silva takes over as the foundation’s representative and will supervise its general coordination and chair the weekly Board of Directors meetings. The nomination of directors to Board positions will be carried out in due course.
Artur Santos Silva will also remain in his current position as non-executive President of the Banco BPI Board of Directors.
