ERC Advanced Investigators Grant
Funds under this call will be granted to individual teams lead by established, innovative and active Principal Investigators, regardless of nationality, age or current location. These may include leading contributors to research advances in Europe, leading scientists of the European diaspora or non-EU nationals who wish to establish themselves in Europe and pursue ground-breaking, high-risk research that opens new directions in their respective research fields or other domains.

Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Open scheme.
The purpose of FET-Open is to stimulate exploratory research and structuring activities for a future science and technology basis that can address emerging technological, industrial and societal challenges of long term importance for Europe.

EU Calls for Proposals
European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research (COST)
This call invites proposals for Actions contributing to the scientific, technological, economic, cultural or societal development of Europe. Actions that may be funded include networking activities such as meetings, conferences, short term scientific exchanges and outreach activities.
Deadline: 26/03/2010| Available budget: EUR 100 000 per year for a four-year period.
Calls for proposals under the 2010 work programme ‘People’. Several calls for proposals have been presented under the Marie Curie Action plan:
- European Reintegration Grants (ERG). The action offers the opportunity for experienced researchers to capitalise on their trans-national mobility period after having participated in a Marie Curie Action. Deadline: 07/09/2010 | Budget: EUR 32 million
- International Reintegration Grants (IRG). This action consists of financial support for between two and four years for professional re-integration projects in the research area in a host organisation active in research in a Member State or Associated country. Deadline: 07/09/2010 | Budget: EUR 32 million
- International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES). The scheme is intended to provide a balanced exchange of researchers between the European partners and the third country partner organisations, each respectively funding the mobility costs of their 'outgoing' researchers. Deadline: 25/03/2010 | Budget: EUR 30 million
- Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development (IEF). This action is to support the career development, or restart, of experienced researchers at different stages of their careers, and seeks to enhance their individual competence diversification in terms of skill acquisition at multi- or interdisciplinary level. Deadline: 17/08/2010 | Budget: EUR 95 million
