Calling all members – Help revise the EFC Principles of Good Practice
(16/01/2012 )

Several events on the EFC’s calendar over 2011 have sought to highlight the Principles of Good Practice – a set of aspirational standards which all members sign up to when they join the EFC.

Feedback from participants has indicated that, in their current form, the Principles offer only a ‘lowest common denominator’ and do not go far enough in setting out adequate standards of behaviour and should be revised to ‘raise the bar’ of European foundations’ operations. The Principles should also more clearly outline how a foundation may act in accordance with the Principles, on a practical level.

Over 2012 the EFC will therefore be revising the Principles, and is calling on its members for help. Would you like to serve on the Task Force that will be considering how to raise the bar? Does your foundation collaborate with grantees who may have different perspectives on European foundations’ work, that would be interesting to interview during this process?

If so, please contact Wendy Richardson (wrichardson@efc.be) at the Secretariat.

Any input is valuable!
