Organised by:
European HIV/AIDS Funders Group (EFG)
From 04/02/2010  to 05/02/2010
Brussels

Participate  in the European HIV/AIDS Funders Group (EFG) event “Filling the Gaps or Shaping the Agenda? Mobilising Philanthropic Leadership for HIV/AIDS” taking place in Brussels on February 4 & 5, 2010 where we will:

  • Discuss and debate  how governments, bilateral and multilateral donors are responding to HIV/AIDS in the current economic and political environment and potential consequences for private funders;
  • Explore the significant challenges and opportunities for foundations as well as the role of HIV/AIDS philanthropy in the new funding environment;
  • Be part of the innovative first-ever exercise of foundations projecting effective long-term strategies to respond to HIV/AIDS by 2020;
  • Unpack the notion of  “leadership” and what it means for foundations moving forward in the current economic, political and programmatic climate. Engage in critical brainstorming on what foundations can do to influence the global agenda beyond being a source of money;
  • Network with other European and U.S. HIV/AIDS Funders.

This event is generously supported by the Ford Foundation, The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund and King Baudouin Foundation.

Stay tuned for more updates on the meeting venue, programme, speakers and much more.
