UNIFEM Launches Global Virtual Knowledge Centre to End Violence against Women and Girls

UNIFEM launched in March 2010 a Global Virtual Knowledge Centre to End Violence against Women and Girls. The centre is an online resource designed to serve the needs of policy-makers, programme implementers and other practitioners dedicated to addressing violence against women and girls. It brings together existing and cumulative experience, know-how and resources from around the world.

The purpose of this initiative is to improve the quality of interventions, optimize results and enhance the cost-effectiveness of investments to initiative to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls.

The database is available in English, French and Spanish.
