Aga Khan Development Network partners with Prince William to launch The Earthshot Prize
The Aga Khan Development Network has partnered with Prince William to launch The Earthshot Prize, which aims to find new solutions to environmental crises and the improvement of living standards.
The goal of the prize is to incentivise environmental change while helping repair the planet over the next ten years. Inspired by the Moonshot Prize, which united millions of people around the goal of putting a man on the moon, The Earthshot Prize is centred around five “Earthshots”, goals for the planet which, if achieved by 2030, will improve the quality of life for all.
Nominations will open on 1 November for the £1 million prize that will support environmental and conservation projects by the winners. Nominees will also be given tailored support and opportunities to help scale their work, including being connected with an ecosystem of likeminded individuals and organisations.
