Motivated by the desire to bring together various stakeholders who share an interest in European philanthropy, the King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) is pleased to announce their upcoming event, ‘Boost Philanthropy in Europe – Spring of Philanthropy 2017’. The event – in collaboration with the European Foundation Centre, DAFNE, EVPA, the European Policy Centre and a number of other prominent philanthropic organisations – will be held on the 12 May, 2017 in the Concert Noble, Brussels.
The aim of the event is to discuss philanthropic trends, opportunities and challenges that face the European philanthropic sector in 2017 and beyond. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a number of roundtable discussions, ranging from the complementary role of philanthropy in Europe to how stakeholders can boost the diversity of European philanthropy.
Spearheading the event dialogue will be a number of inspiring speakers. Keynote speeches will be delivered from international guests of honour, Philanthropist, Ronald Bruder and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Ms Shirin Ebadi. In addition, notable European policy makers such as President Emeritus of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy, will be sharing their perspectives on philanthropy in Europe.
