Do you know why donors give to the arts?
It is from this question that the Day of Arts Philanthropy has evolved. The event will be held during the afternoon of the 19 of January at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Event organisers – Research Fellow, Renée Steenbergen and Dutch foundation Geef om Cultuur – have collaborated to create a space for participants to learn about European trends and developments in research and giving for the arts.
The afternoon promises to include multiple opportunities for dialogue about public and private roles in arts funding and discussions on the motives of millennials. In addition, participants will be able to meet international pioneers in giving, such as members from the Louvre Museum and the Dutch National Opera and Ballet.
