A few places are still available at the Disability Thematic Network (DTN) Autumn Forum – ‘‘Funders in action:
Foundations’ strategies to accelerate disability inclusion’‘ on 23 -24 November 2017 at philanthropy House in Brussels.
The meeting will offer the chance for foundations working on issues relating to disability, directly or indirectly, to connect with funders and policy makers, share ideas and explore potential collaboration as well as discuss how to mainstream disability in foundations’ work.
This will be a unique opportunity to better understand the disability landscape while exploring the initiatives underway and future ideas from the foundations aiming to improve the lives of many.
Many have already confirmed attendance including the ESSL Foundation, Fundaciòn ONCE, Genio Trust, Karuna Foundation, King Baudouin Foundation, Light for the World, Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca, Pro Victimis Foundation and the Equal Chances Foundation, to name just a few.
Attendance is free of charge and there will be sign language interpretation.
The meeting will see also be the perfect opportunity for the official launch of the recent publication, ’Institutional philanthropy – a focus on disability’’, commissioned by the EFC. In attempting to map initiatives, it aims to provide an up to date picture of the work being undertaken by foundations in the field of disability.
