    EPIM launches “Rethinking inclusion” – a Call for expressions of interest to unlock innovative solutions for migrant inclusion and social cohesion in Europe

    The European Programme for Integration and Migration (EPIM) has partnered with Impact Hub to identify socially innovative solutions (project, process, service, practice) located in an EU, EFTA or Western Balkan country that address inclusion challenges that concern young migrant men (around 18-35 years old) and migrant women with a whole-of-society approach. With this call, EPIM hopes to support their impact assessment and scalability in a way that can inform European inclusion policies, funding and practice.

    2018 European Economic and Social Committee Civil Society Prize

    Organised by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), this years Civil Society Prize theme is ”Identities, European Values and Cultural Heritage in Europe”. The prize will reward innovative initiatives carried out by civil society organisations and/or individuals, aimed at raising awareness of the multiple layers and richness of European identities, exploiting the full potential of Europe’s cultural wealth, facilitating access to European cultural heritage and promoting European values, including respect for human dignity and human rights, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law.

    OECD to establish Centre on Philanthropy – providing data and analysis for the global philanthropy sector

    The OECD has decided to set up a Centre on Philanthropy to help contribute to the global demand for more and better data on global philanthropy for development. Recognising that private funding for development is increasing in a sector that remains relatively unknown, the centre will aim to bring together efforts from existing research  and projects, and provide analysis and impact of philanthropy in the context of the 2030 Agenda.

    India’s Puja Marwaha wins Fifth Olga Alexeeva Memorial Prize

    Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation conceives new programme to support millions of refugees and displaced people in South Sudan

    The Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation has called on other leading private foundations across the world to join their attempts to save the millions of refugees and displaced people from violence, starvation and disease. In light of the complexities and scale of this humanitarian emergency, the foundation has conceived a comprehensive plan that foresees both an immediate and a mid-term financial commitment of EUR 2 million to reach and intervene on the lives of about 920,000 people.
