This year, the EVPA Training Academy has designed a brand new training offer that brings together all types of organisations committed to finding societal solutions (including foundations, venture philanthropists, social investors and impact investors) to share their knowledge through structured learning opportunities, discussions on what works and what doesn’t, networking and exchanging best practices.
This learning journey is designed to provide participants with ready-to-use strategies, tools and materials, while gaining a deeper knowledge of venture philanthropy and social investments.
In 2017, EVPA is offering 3 courses designed to help practitioners create a greater impact:
- The Fundamental Course on Venture Philanthropy and Impact Investing developed in partnership with Dr. Lisa Hehenberger (ESADE Business School) for newcomers and practitioners interested in acquiring the fundamental knowledge and tools to develop an impact-centric funding strategy, how to measure and manage impact and how to define the entire impact investment process, from deal screening to the exit, as well as developing their network in the social investment ecosystem. The course combines two online learning modules with two days of face to face interaction with leading professors and practitioners from the field. – Barcelona 14-15 September – Course brochure – Speakers from The Private Equity Foundation and The Jacobs Foundation (only a few places left).
- The Social Impact Management Training developed in partnership with Social Value UK to give practitioners the basics of social impact measurement and management together with a concrete expertise on how to use the right tools to navigate the impact management space. - The Scaling Impact for Social Investors course developed in partnership with EVPA board member, Prof. Filipe Santos (Catòlica-Lisbon Business School). The programme will bring together an experienced group of European leaders who are developing effective ways to finance impact, ranging from venture philanthropy best practices to innovative social investment mechanisms. In a structured discussion model, participants will share worldviews, develop novel frameworks and discuss cases on how best to finance, support and scale impactful solutions.
