U.S. non-profits that do international work seem to be facing problems when trying to access financial services. In response to this issue, a comprehensive report, Financial Access for U.S. Non-profits Reveals Broad Scope of Problem, has been published by the Charity & Security Network.  The report includes background on the bank ‘de-risking’ problems and information for focus groups, as well as interviews with people in financial institutions, government and a broad range of non-profits.

The report found that the financial access issue is widespread – affecting 2/3 of international non-profits – and it is impacting all types of programs in all parts of the world.
