Fundación ONCE has won the first Finance for all Award for its project on inclusive finance, an initiative to promote financial education for people with intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties.
The project aims to convey basic concepts of domestic economy and help improve their ability to use money responsibly and acquire financial skills that apply to employment. ‘Inclusive Finance’ is a training resource, housed on the foundation’s website and available to any entity working with people with intellectual disabilities and other learning difficulties. There are currently 65 registered entities around the country with 828 users.
The programme has been funded by Citi, with the participation of the Aprocor Foundation and with the collaboration of the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) and the Bank of Spain.The Finance Award for All will be awarded to Fundación ONCE by the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Inigo Fernandez de Mesa, in the main event of the Day of Financial Education, which will take place on October 3, 2016.
