Incorpora Hungary is a newly created joint initiative that supports disadvantaged people in Hungary seeking employment. Launched in November 2016, Incorpora Hungary has flourished under the collaboration of the ERSTE Foundation and ‘la Caixa’ Foundation, both of whom recognise that tackling unemployment is one of the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century.

While the unemployment rate in Hungary is decreasing continually – currently 4.9% of the population does not have a job – for people with disadvantages, difficulties still remain when attempting to find work. The goal of the programme is to help the most vulnerable, such as the physically or mentally disabled or people living in poverty, back into the labour market and thus, laying down the foundations of a sustainable employment pattern.

In addition to the founding organisations ERSTE Foundation and ‘la Caixa’ Foundation, six NGO’s are also contributing to the Incorpora programme. By working together, they are able to share more knowledge, experience and expertise with disadvantaged people from various backgrounds.
