Since 2004, PZU Foundation carries out philanthropic activities of the PZU Group, that are a part of the strategy of social commitments of the company.

One of the biggest polish corporate foundations. PZU is the biggest Polish insurance company with 45% of market share and Foundation is third year in a row the leader of philanthropy in Poland in terms of amount of money they give.


The purpose of the Foundation is to promote the education of children and young people and equalisation of opportunities for persons with disabilities, as well as increase access to cultural and social life and support the development of civil society in various matters.
"We help helping" is the motto of the Foundation, that is implemented by supporting strategic areas such as Education, Care and social assistance, Health care, Culture and Art.

Programme areas

– Education: especially in terms of initiatives promoting equal opportunities and creating the conditions for better development of the intellectual, professional and cultural life of young people, including grants for local organizations like “With PZU after school”, “Young disabled – fit with PZU” and “PZU with culture”;

– Care and social assistance: the support of organizations and individuals, in terms of covering the cost of treatment, rehabilitation and purchase of medical equipment or medicines, among others;

– Health care: supporting educational projects for employees of medical institutions and actions promoting healthy and active lifestyle;

– Culture and art: especially in the promotion of cultural events and activities to propagate knowledge about Polish culture and art, supporting artists and talented youth.
