Through our knowledge and intelligence work, we identify key trends in institutional philanthropy, both in terms of the latest developments in funding practices, as well as in terms of policy changes affecting the sector. Through activities such as mapping the philanthropy space, we provide a bedrock understanding of “what’s going on”.
Going beyond mere data gathering, our team harvests intelligence on our membership, their activities and areas of interest and makes this information available to our members upon request.
The EFC has launched the Institutional Philanthropy Spectrum (IPS) which serves as a framework to build systematic knowledge about the field of institutional philanthropy. Its aim is to better understand and document the characteristics, practices, role and relevance of institutional philanthropy in society.
