Issues in focus

Showcasing the transformative power that arts and culture can have on individuals and society, this session will explore how philanthropy can use arts and culture to overcome fragmentation and gaps present in modern society today.

Music, theatre, dance and art in general speak a universal language that rises above social, economic, religious and cultural divides that exist in our society and communities. Arts and culture give dignity to people, representing an opportunity to meet others and in some cases representing the chance for a better future.

Starting with a panel discussion on how philanthropy can use arts and culture as a tool to meet their missions, participants will break up into smaller groups to go into detail on specific aspects of the projects’ implementation, as well as the challenges faced and how these have been overcome.
