For its first year in Turkey, the programme will see more than 100 civil society professionals and artists from Turkey and United Kingdom come together to focus on the theme “Seeing the City Through Women’s Gaze.” Through three panels “Participation in the Life of the City”, “The Invisible Face of the City” and “Solidarity in the City”, the festival will look at lives in the public sphere, at home and at different forms of solidarity.
First organised in London in 2010, the Women of the World Festival has now spread to over six continents, reaching over 2 million participants at more than 70 festivals.
