This years Disability Thematic Network (DTN) Annual Meeting will take place at Philanthropy House in Brussels with a focus on ”Sustainable Development Goals and Disability.

This meeting is a key opportunity for foundations working on issues related to disability to:

  • Get an overview of the Sustainable Development Goals that include disability and their connection with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD)
  • Explore how these goals can be implemented in practice in order to improve the life of people with disabilities and what the role of funders could be in this process
  • Connect with each other, explore potential synergies and collaboration on SDGs and beyond

The meeting will also offer participants the opportunity to reflect on the way people communicate with people with disabilities, and with the help of experts, we will look into successful ways to break down the barriers surrounding disability and discover how we can communicate these to a wider audience and help change the narrative.

Please note that there are no event fees but registration is required and will be on a first come, first served basis.

If you are interested in participating in the meeting or should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Giulia Lombardi.
