The EFC Research Forum, in collaboration with Science|Business, is organising a workshop on the 27 October in Brussels, hosted in Philanthropy House. The meeting will bring together relevant stakeholders from the research & innovation sector across Europe, to learn and discuss the following questions:
- How does Brussels work generally? How do you connect with the right people? How can you have a voice in shaping their policy decisions?
- Who’s who in Brussels? Who are the most relevant people to connect with? What programmes and initiatives are most important now?
- How can EU research & innovation programmes affect – help or hinder – foundations’ work? What are the knock-on effects of EU Commission priorities and problems on foundations’ own strategies?
The programme (see below, under downloads) will include a political workshop, symposiums on funding and advocacy and detailed case studies, which will offer ample opportunities for you to contribute and get to know your peers as well as learn from each other. You will also receive an updated guide on H2020 and a compilation of reference material on who is who and how Brussels works in the R&I domain, edited by Science|Business.
The meeting will also offer networking opportunities, including a Social Dinner hosted by the EFC the evening before the workshop. We kindly invite you to join and we look forward to meeting you in Brussels!
If you have any questions please contact the EFC Research Forum Coordinator, Abraham Trujillo
There is no participation fee, however participants are expected to cover their own travel costs.
