The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is organising a public hearing concerning ”European philanthropy: an untapped potential”’on the 16th January 2019, at the behest of the Romanian Presidency.
The public hearing will focus on the measures and initiatives that could be taken at an EU and national level to promote organised philanthropy, the means by which the EU could eliminate barriers within the internal market that are hindering the realisation of philanthropy’s full potential and the role philanthropy can play contributing to EU values, such as cohesion and social justice, and to the competitiveness of the European economy.
