As detailed by the ACHAB, different approaches can be adopted to deal with affordability of university education. The purpose of this project is testing the effectiveness of a particular type of asset building in facilitating access to post-secondary education. The action aims to allow low-income families of students in the 4th or 5th year of high school, to start saving small amounts of money while their children are in high school. The savings then are topped-up to subsidize access to university education.
By promoting and widening the question surrounding the right to study, public bodies and foundations will talk in search of new possible models of intervention.
This conference will allow for more information and discussion on how education can be approached and addressed in a more innovative way.
