City Bridge Trust

The City Bridge Trust's origins can be traced back to 1097 when taxes were raised to repair London Bridge. By the end of the 12th century, a significant fund had begun to accumulate due to the taxes, rents and bequests collected. The trust’s grantmaking arm began supporting charitable activity benefiting the inhabitants of Greater London in 1995.
