The Welfare Association was established in 1983 by a group of Palestinian business and intellectual figures actively concerned about the needs of Palestinian society. The founding members decided to join together their human and financial resources to provide development and humanitarian assistance to Palestinians living under occupation and in exile in Lebanon.

Mission

To make a distinguished contribution towards furthering the progress of Palestinians, preserving their heritage and identity, supporting their living culture and building civil society.

Empowering youth aged 15 to 29 with skills and resources to successfully transition into employment.

Orphan Support Program
Empowering Gaza’s orphaned children with the services and opportunities required to lead healthy, independent and productive lives.

Community Development
Revealing the potential of Palestine’s civil society through comprehensive and participatory development efforts.

Old City of Jerusalem Revitalization Program
Conserving cultural heritage while improving social, economic and environmental conditions in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Museum
Preserving and celebrating the history, culture and society of modern Palestine.

Taawon for Youth
Innovative Palestinian youth working for the Palestinian community.
