Fundación Princesa de Girona – Spain
Fundación Princesa de Girona is a private foundation set up by civil society entities in Girona in 2009 and backed by 88 trustees; the Honorary Chairman is King Felipe VI of Spain on behalf of his daughter Leonor, Princess of Girona. The Foundation’s mission is to support the education, initiative and development of young people as a way of empowering new generations to build a better and more caring society. It is a grant-making Foundation, but it also runs its own programmes focusing on issues such as entrepreneurial education and employability of young people.

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation is placing a big bet that significant progress is possible on some of the world’s most pressing social challenges, including advancing global climate solutions, decreasing nuclear risk, promoting local justice reform in the U.S, and reducing corruption in Africa’s most populous country, Nigeria. The Foundation also continues its historic commitments to the role of journalism in a responsive democracy as well as the vitality of its home city, Chicago
Nationale Postcode Loterij – Netherlands
The Nationale Postcode Loterij (Dutch Postcode Lottery) was established in 1989, using the funds generated by the national lottery to provide long-term institutional support with a special focus on poverty alleviation, human rights, social cohesion, nature conservation and the environment. The Lottery supports organisations both within the Netherlands and worldwide and in 2018 granted € 370 million.
Thalassa Foundation – Switzerland
The Thalassa Foundation aims to assist and actively support projects, initiatives and activities that promote the protection and safeguarding of marine and coastal ecosystems in the Mediterranean Sea, and especially in the area of Greece. They encourage research and work closely with the scientific society on environmental issues based on fundamental pillars such as restoration and preservation, sustainability, education and environmental awareness. This small, non-endowed Foundation was established by Blue Planet Shipping LTD, a ship management company based in Piraeus, Greece.

International Union for Conservation of Nature – Belgium
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is the world’s largest and most diverse environmental network. Its mission is to influence, encourage and assist societies throughout the world to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable.
The European Regional Office in Brussels represents IUCN at the EU level and works with the European Members to help deliver the Union’s goals.
Special Olympics Europe Eurasia – Ireland
Special Olympics Inc. is a global organisation registered in the U.S. which has 7 regional branches, with Special Olympics Europe Eurasia (SOEE) being one of them. Their mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them opportunities to develop physical fitness and share their gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
