Since 2012 the Fondazione 1563 per l’Arte e la Cultura della Compagnia di San Paolo (Fondazione 1563) has been actively organising and promoting a Study Programme on the Age and the Culture of Baroque, directed by Professor Michela di Macco.

Among the activities of the Programme, the Foundation organises a Summer School aiming to provide the participants with educational opportunities related to disciplinary and cross-disciplinary dialogue, through specific focus on content and method and also techniques to enhance the communication of knowledge.

It will address periods and turning points of cultural production in the field of art, architecture, literature, music, theatre, history in Europe in the XVII and XVIII centuries and it will further develop the critical reflection on the studies dedicated to the Baroque and its chronology.
