4WINGS is a young public utility Foundation, whose mission is fighting against precariousness in Belgium. Founded by 28 family members, the Foundation supports innovative social projects on the following issues: access to housing, technology education, and preventive health through nutrition and sports.
Through personalised accompaniment, networking and various forms of support and financing, 4WINGS enhances the beneficial effects of concrete projects that strongly impact society. The long term goal is to participate in bringing about long-term improvement to the living conditions of vulnerable people.
The objectives of the Foundation are to enhance the quality of life of society and to protect the natural environment. The Foundation was formed to accelerate and scale up solutions to sustainability challenges by leveraging the power of the market. By working in partnership with NGOs, other foundations and research organisations, it creates and supports campaigns that aim at shifting market share away from unsustainable products and companies, towards environmentally and socially beneficial solutions.
Established in 2008, the Foundation’s purpose is the advancement of education, science and research in the fields of business administration, economics, law, medicine, chemistry, physics and biology. The Foundation supports educational institutions and students within general primary and secondary school education, through the procurement and transfer of funds for the benefit of other non-profit organisations and public entities.
