The nomination period for the 5th Olga Alexeeva Memorial Prize is now open.
The £5,000 prize is supported by Charities Aid Foundation, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and Vladimir Potanin Foundation, and will be awarded to an individual who has demonstrated remarkable leadership, creativity and results in developing philanthropy for progressive social change in an emerging market country or countries.
A shortlist of up to six finalists will be decided by the three founders of the prize:
• Maria Chertok of CAF Russia, a former PBF trustee
• Caroline Hartnell, philanthropy consultant and former PBF chair
• Jenny Hodgson of the Global Fund for Community Foundations and a former PBF adviser
The final winner of the prize will then be selected by an international panel of judges and all finalists will be invited to attend and speak at a global philanthropy conference early in 2018, as well as being featured in a special supplement published in February 2018 and on the Alliance website.
The closing date for nominations is 19 December 2017.
