de/rizom is a methodology development programme that supports artisans from marginalised communities to start their own businesses as social enterprises, complement their traditional craft skills and enable them to become trusted suppliers of global retail groups. de/rizom will formalise, test and verify this methodology in collaboration with seven artisan communities for a period of three years, between July 2018 and August 2021.
In order to reach out to diverse local communities that could benefit from our programme, there is a call for nominations for 3 vulnerable/ disadvantaged groups/ communities; rural or urban; men and/or women, who already produce items related to their traditional crafts or have the potential for production. The nominated communities or individuals need to have an impressive craft skill and the ability to create high quality products.
Please share the necessary information about your nominated community using the online form by 15 July 2018.
de/rizom is a programme of the Vienna based association co/rizom founded and headed by Alina Serban. In partnership with Nadja Zerunian, designer; Andrei M. Georgescu, social entrepreneur; and Gabor Nagy, management consultant and co-founder of SIMPACT.
The programme is supported by ERSTE Foundation.
