The Philanthropy University and Alquity have launched a new initiative, the ”Transforming Lives Awards”, which aims to uncover the best NGO’s and social enterprises working towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG) in Asia, Africa and Latin America. 

The new initiative will provide $100,000 of unrestricted funding to the winners and the opportunity to access a wide network in support of the initiative. 

The criteria for selection is organisations focused upon: 

Sustainability – a core component of all the awards will be to fund sustainable solutions. Winners will need to demonstrate a pathway to a sustainable funding mode

Programmatic Focus – this seeks to support growth in sustainable livelihoods and the achievement of SDG 8; to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

Geography – organisations working in one of the following countries: Brazil, Chile, Peru, Mexico, China, India, Vietnam, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria or South Africa
